The counties in red on this map has a total population of 44,000,000 (Forty-Four Million) – the number of reported surgical abortions since the Roe v Wade decision of 1973.

Sadly, yes you reading this correctly.
The TOTAL population of the ENTIRE red area is EQUAL to 44,000,000. That is the number of babies murdered by surgical abortion since 1973.
Don't know if you're interested, but a ping for our brothers and sisters who never got a chance.
To make the point stronger, the 44 million are represented by the least populated counties so as to maximize the square mileage represented.
It is a sad, that is a big number. That map is used for maximum emotional effect, though. Notice the areas in white: Every major populated area. The size of the red area could have been much smaller if the areas included major cities, which it does not.
Anyway the tragic point being made is that there have been 44 million abortions, and that is sad.
The first of the Aborted Generation would 31 years old this year. Most would have been in the workforce for at least 13 years.
Is it any wonder, then:
• that Social Security is on the verge of insolvency, as the Aborted Generation would have been paying payroll taxes for at least a decade?
• that we must pull troops from the Korean peninsula and Europe, as the Aborted Generation reduces the number of potential soldiers?
• the States and professional organizations are enacting more "life time learning" mandatory continuing education, as the Aborted Generation has reduced the number of 18 year old freshmen for colleges and universities?
It is wrong- you will notice no large cities fall into the "red area." In other words, they chose the least populous counties to shade red to make the highest impact and illustrate a point.

While the 44mil number is indeed sad, this map is a bit hyperbolic.
As others have stated, if the abortions were shown where they happened (in the cities) then it'd seem less horrible.
On the other hand, it might also show liberals what they've done to themselves, as this map is probably the inverse and their support has been seriously eroded by their own actions!

Well, DUH! It is NOT wrong, these lower populated areas add up to 44 million.
America has never faced a more evil and deadly enemy than these nine black robe clad abbetors of assains, nor has all the other enemies of our way of life combined, cost us as much in innocent American blood.
44,000,000 American innocents dead, slain in or very near the womb-which until Roe vs Wade, was hailed as the safest place on earth.
Kerry and the democrats, promise to use pro-abortion as a litmus tests in appoint or confirmation of Judges. The Democrat's agenda is to assure the legal killing of 44,000,000 additional babies, over the next thirty one years.
The democrats enjoy killing American's as much or more than the Islamite Terrorists do-The gutless Dems. just prefer their victems younger and more helpless.
Too many Democrats have already come to power, down the path paved with the bodies of the unborn. Don't enable Kerry to squish them under his stinking liberal feet.
