BANGKOK, June 27 (Xinhuanet) -- A former deputy village chief in southern Thailand was decapitated by local insurgents a few hours before Thai prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra toured the region on Sunday.
The victim was found beheaded by knife on Sunday morning around 6:00 a.m. in the Saiburi district of the Pattani Province, which lies some 1,000 kilometers south of Bangkok and close to Malaysia to the south.
Authorities were now carrying on related investigation and suspected the crime was from hands of insurgents responsible for the region's violence in the past months, local police said.
Thaksin was expected to arrive in Pattani late on the same day to attend a local products exhibition and football tournament opening, which is part of the government's plan to tackle the security problems through improving the local economy and integration.
This is the second time in two months that Thaksin has visited the country's Muslim-dominated southernmost stretch, which has witnessed unabated violence claiming almost 300 lives since the beginning of this year.
Attributing the region's spiraling violence to both separatists and Mafia, interest groups and corrupt politicians, the Thaksin cabinet also noted that the lagged local economy made insurgents' recruitment more easily.
Local people also reportedly complained that their culture hasn't been given enough attention by the authorities.
Home to most of Thailand's small pocket of Muslim population, the south came under the direct rule of central government in 1902and since then has witnessed separatist movement until the late 1980's.
The region has also been disturbed by sporadic violence createdby gangsters grouping with remaining separatists in past years.
However, violence in the past several months was all aimed at government places and targeted a variety of officials, policemen, soldiers, monks and civilians of both Buddhism and Muslim. Enditem¡¡
These people look like they are from "south of the border," but they are not.
They are Muslim and mostly of Chinese and southeast Asian descent.
When you look at them, you will believe they are "Latino" or "Hispanic," but they are not.
They are Muslims.
They DO NOT speak Arabic.
They mostly speak Chinese.
They know enough Spanish to fake their being "Latino" or "Hispanic."
It probably has nothing to do with the Islam
In the mid to late 60's these same groups, did the same things, but claimed to be communists.
Not to a CBP Border Patrol Agent or even most CBP Officers.
As one who has butchered farm animals, I find that unlikely. Throat cut with a knife, perhaps, and the job finished with an axe.
Know your neighbors.
When the rest of the world is either preoccupied with hating us – as the Islamic and rogue nations such as North Korea are, or somehow profiting from our enemies’ successes – as some of Europe is, or too poor and concerned with their own survival, where does one find ‘allies’ who are willing (and able) to battle this monstrous menace which, for the first time in human history, has the relatively easy and available technology of mass destruction, and nearly instantaneous transport, on its side? Our only real and genuine ally is falling prey, just as we are, to the leftists among its government, media and population.
In short, we had better prepare to go it alone against forces that are numerous, diverse, generally vicious, and without conscience (to say the least). The radical Islam threat is only the most ruthless and conspicuous of the evils seeking to destroy the west, and liberty in general.
I know that none of the already beheaded victims deserves any less sorrow, grief and gratitude than another, and yet somehow the news today went through me, slowly, like a sharp, icy knife, that an American Marine has been taken hostage by the cretins who pose so bravely for the camera with their heads covered for fear of reprisal, their AK47s photo-op brandished, and assured that there are at least half a dozen of them tormenting and torturing one innocent, bound and gagged victim.
As so many others, I have been taking solace in the fact that the barbarians will someday face a Judgment unlike any they envision, that that Judgment will be proportional to the atrocities they have committed on innocents in this life … and it will be eternal.
At the same time, the terrible agony they inflict on each victim, and the thread of countless family and friends whose heartache will continue as long as they are living, is not something that any feeling human being, no matter his faith or belief, can ever take lightly. Please don’t let us ever do that.
Now, with each passing day, there are newly perpetrated bombings, hostage-takings, beheadings. Such news used to upset and enrage Americans. It must continue to do so. As William Bennett asserted in his ‘The Death of Outrage,’ we cannot become hardened or steeled to each new abomination. Desensitization is not an option. We need to retain, fresh in our minds, the videos of innocent Americans plunging to their deaths from the fiery inferno that was the World Trade Center. We need to retain, fresh in our minds, the pictures of mutilated American body parts hanging from the bridge over the Euphrates. We need to retain, fresh in our minds, the vision of innocent people of many nations who have been kidnapped from their noble jobs of rebuilding a country, and murdered in one of the most brutal, sadistic manners known to man.
We need to stay frightened. We need to stay outraged. Fear and anger will nurture vigilance and resolve, without which we cannot prevail.
John Kerry, take note: When you remove America’s presence from the Middle East, the barbarians will redouble their intentions to re-group, recruit, train, indoctrinate … and mass produce weapons that make brandished AK47s, and even beheadings, look like child’s play. And they will be invading this nation exponentially moreso, and more overtly, than they already are today. They won’t knock. They’ll break the door down before you hear their footsteps. If that doesn’t bother you, damn you. If it does, put self-serving politics aside, start developing an honest heart, and a tongue that reflects it.
Nix the Fear, that's what the terrorists want to spread in us, but we mustn't allow Fear to dominate our lives. We've got brave, talented folks defending us here and abroad, and while I agree with nurturing vigilance and resolve, we must overcome our fears in order to live our lives to their fullest!!

Congressman John Culverson just stated he has just received informantion from Southern District U.S. Attorney Michael Shelby (Texas)that Al Quida members have been entering from our southern border and have been entering through Texas and blending into towns....He stated this was classified and he given the OK to release this information.
