June 24, 2004 -- AFTER terrorists beheaded Korean hostage Kim Sun-il, The New York Times kept the photo showing the horror of his final moments off yesterday's front page.
Instead, the Times' front page bizarrely describes Kim as "sitting or kneeling quietly" as he waited to die in reality the photo, back on Page A-11, shows Kim with his mouth open wide in terror, and the video shows him shaking with fear.

Yellow journalism deluxe.
"Graphic photos appearing on Arabic websites of U.S. servicemen raping and sexually abusing Iraqi women were actually taken from American and Hungarian pornography sites."
(read the truth)
....A WND investigation has revealed that most of the photos are taken from the American pornographic website "Iraq Babes," and the Hungarian site, "Sex in War," which is linked to by the American site. Both websites are linked to by violent pornography sites and both describe Iraqi women -- played by "actresses" -- in vulgar terms.
The biased media has duped America just to embarrass President Bush and give Ted Kennedy what he supposed was his finest hour! The Terrorists just love Kennedy, Pelosi, Kerry, Clinton and the rest of the appeasing fools.

Liberal journalists are being criticized so widely, and their opinions are so full of holes that they are fighting back like suicide bombers and terrorists.
The Presidency is the last stand. It is the symbol of their waning influence.
"The Presidency is the last stand. It is the symbol of their waning influence."
Very good point. The aging Dan Rathers of the world made their reputations and fortunes fighting against an unpopular war (Vietnam) and an unpopular president (Nixon). They are heading into retirement in a few years and are looking for that last big score.
Couldn't agree more re: Misunderestimated. The hostile press and their foaming at the mouths detailed by Sammon re: the week before and the 10 days after the start of the war with Iraq are truly incredible.

About this time next year when President Kerry needs to show his bonafides as being "tough on terrorism" he will possibly attack a terrorist hideout. The media will hail this as the right (and couregous)retaliatory action in light of ongoing beheadings of Americans. The stories in the press will be accompanied by prominent pictures (stills and video on television)of the actual beheadings and some of Saddam's previous torture acts. Why the photos now, you ask? The press will retort, "we couldn't publish these Saddam torture photos earlier because the Bush administration kept them from us. " And all with a straight face. Viva le Kerry! Long live Monsieur Kerry!
Bush has GOT to win in November, for many reasons but at this point, the reason "just to tick Dan Rather off" is fine with me.

Iraqi sources told WND that while they now understand the rape photos are fake, they fear incidents of sexual assault and rape by coalition troops may have occurred or could occur.
It must be great to have a time machine to see the past and a crystal ball to be able to predict the future. Covers all bases.
And when the next set of fake photos show up, the media will be ever so eager to show them first and ask questions later.
