LAKE COUNTY, Ohio -- A former Eastlake high school teacher was sentenced Wednesday for allegedly smoking pot with some of his students, reported NewsChannel5's Joe Pagonakis.
Anthony Minnillo, 32, was sentenced on four counts of corrupting a minor with drugs.
An emotional Minnillo stood before Judge Richard Collins in a Lake County courtroom, expressing his regret and pleading for leniency.
Collins sentenced him to nine months in prison -- nine months for each count, to be served concurrently.
Minnillo taught math at Eastlake North High School, before the allegations surfaced last November.
In an exclusive NewsChannel5 interview after his arrest, Minnillo admitted his guilt and said he was sorry for having done it.
He confessed he would smoke marijuana with students during the day at the high school, and at nearby parks.
Police said Minnillo would also do alcohol-laced Jell-O shots with his students, reported Pagonakis.
Minnillo said his addiction to marijuana drove him into trouble.
"I was smoking morning to night," said Minnillo. "It was killing me."
Besides the jail sentence, Minnillo was ordered to seek drug counseling

I'm no defender on the WOsD, but this guy is out of line and is lucky to get off this lightly.

If you have a shot at being sentenced to "treatment," however fraudulent, why not go along with the Drug War gravy train?

In my High School, it was the English/Drama teacher, not the Math teacher who'd smoke pot w/ students
And only the kids in the drama club - while he got dismissed, he did end up leavong his wife & marrying one of the leading student actresses.
I'll bet when they studied 'cannonballing' it had nothing to do with the Civil War.

They are yummy! just make jello,but with alcohol in. (usually use little dixie paper cups to serve) Your supposed to do them one right after another.
