Took him long enough. I seem to recall around Christmastime he was caught with his hand in the till?

Regards, Ivan

It looks like Lt. Gov. Jodi Rell is about to become my governor.

If this were Gov. Bill Clinton of AR, he would NOT resign.

It's too bad. He did some good things for Connecticut, but he got greedy. The Democrats will sieze the moment. The worst part is what he did to the Republicans in Connecticut. It will be hard for the Republicans to recover.

I just wish Rowland hadn't removed the hottub from his Bantam Lake home then he could have announced his resignation from it while sipping on a martini.

Rowland was a mixed bag = worked to eliminate inheritance taxes.
He did a magnificent job with the DMV, any of the offices were total chaos, phones ringing off the hook, log lines- total dissarray would be an understatement. Recent visits were totally painless in and out in 5 min clean well run, totally eff. to the ninth deg.

On the other hand Taxes are still way to high, schools are still a mess, scandals about beating his wife I think were ligit. (my wife spent a day with him before he became gov. when he toured adult ED. programs she was working on and her impression was he was a Real SOB and she usually is on target with that kind of stuff)

In any EVent he violated the public trust which can not be tolerated, Time for him to go

Is this guy a conservative, or a typical northeastern squishy liberal country-club Republican?

I wondered how long it would take after he lost his bid to get the state supreme court to rule his subpeona to appear before the House Select Committee of Inquiry unconstitutional. He has seriously divided what little 'pubbie organization I have been able to detect since moving here last year.

For implementing a state income tax, ensuring tax-and-spend liberals' hands dig deeper and deeper into our pockets -- as long as we reside in this state-- Gov. Rowland, you are a disgrace. Goodbye and why didn't you quit while you were "a head"?

California's Gray Davis should have been indicted also, but he's a RAT so he gets a pass.

It would be very interesting to take a poll of articles by the major media to see whether party affiliation is mentioned in articles about these kind of situations- GOP vs. RAT.
