CAIRO, Egypt (Reuters) - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak held talks Wednesday with CIA director George Tenet, an Egyptian official said, quashing rumors that Mubarak was ill.
Vague rumors had circulated earlier in the day that the 76-year-old Mubarak was unwell.
State television also showed Mubarak standing and talking to reporters about planned Egyptian help to Palestinians to take charge of the Gaza Strip after any Israeli withdrawal.
"We want to train commanders to keep security," said Mubarak, showing no apparent signs of illness.
Television also reported Mubarak had talked with Tenet, Egyptian Information Minister Safwat el-Sherif and Defense Minister Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, but gave little detail...."
Steve Quayle is discussing it on his radio show right now. Still a r-u-m-o-r!
Right, first it's Vice President, then Speaker of the House.
Then his son.
Keep us posted. I need a shower.
I noticed that. I also noticed that the Spanish website I am usually connected to for ME news went down about the same time - I think they were probably getting ready to post a "Breaking" but then couldn't confirm it.
Rumor......Posted again.
