My heart goes out to Karl Malone.

The Kings played up to their potential. They have heart, but not the horses. The Lakers flat-out are heartless. What's your excuse?

I really still can't grasp the concept of rioting when your team wins.

Oh come on. Running through the streets, smashing windows, burning a few cars, stop for a cold beer, get on TaaVaaa......It's exciting and really good fun.

Really? Why would Kobe leave LA, they can afford to throw whatever money it takes at him, right?

Phil Jackson is now saying at the press conference the Pistons were "a little better." Whatever.

When the Queens win a championship, call me to gloat. Of course, the way they play in big games, you made need to do it through seance.

Why make up excuses??? It has been reported that the poor play of Malone and Payton doomed the Lakers. A couple of the players even went to Jackson and asked him to bench them because they were doing so poorly.

It's alright. He just said there's a slim chance he'll return next year. We may be hearing the last of him. That's a good thing.

Kobe Bryant's not going to prison.

Or haven't you been following the circus that is the prosecution's case?

Cool... once again, the mediocre team of defense minded thugs beats the arrogant injury riddled team whose dynasty days are coming to a close.

Yes, I have caught some of the coverage, but I thought it would be fun to tweak some Laker fans' ears a bit. :)

It sounds like these vehicles came just in time ----

Army vehicles to aid Detroit area crime fighters

The Associated Press
6/15/2004, 4:18 a.m. ET

WARREN, Mich. (AP) — The U.S. Army presented three refurbished armored personnel carriers to the sheriff's departments of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties to use for their SWAT operations.

"Without a question, these vehicles are going to be put to use," said Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel, who plans to learn how to drive his county's carrier.

Armored vehicles are helpful when dealing with an incident such as a barricaded gunman, police officials said.

The Army has given driving lessons to a handful of deputies and plans to provide assistance for vehicle maintenance, the Detroit Free Press reported in a Tuesday story.

The departments will be testing new technology developed for the carriers. On Monday, the vehicles' steel tire tracks were replaced with rubber, which is designed to be less harmful to roads.

Often referred to as battle taxis, the vehicles are designed to carry personnel and cargo through streams, lakes and rough terrain. Eleven people can fit in the carrier's windowless, steel interior, with a driver tucked snugly in front with narrow windows to navigate.

Considered lightweight at 10 tons, they reach speeds just below 40 mph., run on diesel fuel and get 3-4 miles per gallon.

The vehicles, worth about $300,000 each, have 110-gallon diesel fuel tanks, which give them a range of about 350 miles, The Detroit News reported.

This little fact might be of interest to you all:

The Republican presidential candidate has won EVERY TIME the Lakers have made it to the NBA Finals (whether or not they won the title) during an election year.... 1952 (Eisenhower), 1968 (Nixon), 1972 (Nixon), 1980 (Reagan), 1984 (Reagan), 1988 (Bush), 2000 (Bush)

The last time the Lakers wents to the NBA Finals, during an election years, and lost was.... 1984!

Guess who won that year?
