Why are you surprised? She's obviously trying to break from the tradition of country singers being more conservative and trying to be more like Hollywood than Nashville. She has publicly bashed Toby Keith for singing about American soldiers and making America the theme of his concerts.

I would love to know how long she has been a member of the ACLU. I mean, when she knew about their existence. Something tells me she just got hip, and just in time to 'legitimize' her foolhardy outburst and abysmal ignorance.

Betcha she doesn't even know about the ACLU's support of NAMBLA.

Even worse, betcha she wouldn't care. Betcha she thinks NAMBLA is a type of sweater.

Apparently the Blixie Chicks didn't feel the pounding Maines' mouth got them into the first time.

The text reads, "I am not an American who confuses politics with patriotism. I am an American who loves our country because we are all guaranteed the freedom to disagree with government decisions. I am an ACLU member. ..."
