" Nobody's ever heard of the guy! " The Smiths are, or were, Mike Joyce, Johnny Marr, Stehpen Morrissey and Andy Rourke. In an intense 5 years Between 1983 and 1987 The Smiths released almost 20 singles and 7 albums, and are recognised by the critics as one of the most significant bands of the 1980's. It is difficult to believe that Morrissey has been a solo artist longer than 2 lifetimes of The Smiths, but his impact on the music industry declined significantly after 1987.

What internet storm? Nobody's ever heard of the guy! Well I hate to admit it, but I have several of his albums from the 80's. "Meat is Murder" had several songs that I liked. I just happened to drag it out last week and record it to mp3 format for the computer even. He was a weirdo even back then, but this comment is definately one of his more gutter remarks. But much like Boy George, you kinda liked this kind of fellow supporting the opposition, it made your side look very normal and the other side very weird (as it is).
