Lower Southampton Township in PA tells home owner they can only have four cars but everyone else can have as many as they want. There is no law as to the number of cars a homeowner can have.Township manager Sue McKeon has singled out homeowner. This homeowner's cars are tagged, insured and inspected. Anyone have any ideas on what organization would help them fight township. They have already spent 40,000 to fight this and have no money left.

If they have no money left, it's kind of a moot point how many cars they are 'allowed' to own, isn't it?

No wonder you're out of money.

Sell one of your cars.

Fair and balanced reporting - not!

Four cars where? On their lawn, on the street, in their garage, in their name? If the state is responsible for vehicle registrations, then I would imagine that the town has no right to tell anyone how many cars they can actually own. They may be trying to tell the owner where he can keep the cars, though.

40,000 whatevers would have gone a long way toward a garage rental somewhere.

Welcome to Free Republic.

A bit of supporting information (a link perhaps) would be in order.

I think I would have taken the money and bought another car.

The homeowners just want it to be fair, if they can only have four cars then the whole township should be only four cars.Other homeowners have 7 to 12 cars with no inspection, etc and they are not having trouble with the township..

Not nearly enough information being provided to even make a determination.

Explain EXACTLY wht the problem is, and what the township has cited them for, and maybe its worth exploring. However if somebodies got 7 cars on blocks on their front line with grass up tho the roof... and they get tagged for public health violations, that's not an issue of "having 4 cars".

Have the homeowners write to us and explain their situation, and then invite Sue McKeon to join the discussion so we can get the township's side of the story, too.

Insufficient information. Without a link and a fuller description of the situation, it's impossible to comment.

This is a pretty sad post. You don't give enough information.

Are you sure you didn't mean to post that you need help with your homework or writing a paper?

If I move there, will the township provide me with the minimum requirement of 4 cars?
