Don't you get it, Dead? The "
while" is like an apology for acknowledging the man's passing, for heaven's sake! It took them two days to put up anything. Then, when they finally do, it says that he did good things for working actors even though he turned conservative.
Maybe my problem is that I take words literally and always have.

Good God. The man died in the middle of a weekend. SAG is a union, not a news source. I don't find anything unreasonable for them to have waited until they showed up for work to post her statement on their own website.

Boy, thats a stretch. Its a quietly respectful statement of the facts as it regards Reagans relationship with the SAG, which was but a small chapter in his life.
Perhaps if they sang it to some sappy tune and ran photos of children crying you would feel better about it.

The "while" is like an apology... So much for taking words literally.

It took them two days to put up anything. The date for the press release (on the link you posted) says "June 5, 2004." The website itself notes the current date. But even if they did just release it today, forcryinoutloud, it's the first business day since he passed.
As conservatives, we have a lot of battles to fight.
This isn't one of them.
