The U.S. is between a rock and a hard place vis a vi Saudi Arabia and it's oil. The NYT on the other hand is a slime production, even refusing to acknowledge Regan's death with a full size banner from what I hear. But, and it's a big one, the world's oil supply is somewhat dependent on Saudi whims. If they pump too little the world's oils supply could tumble along with it world economy. We almost have to get along with them enough to keep the supply up just to keep the economy moving along. I don't' envy the Bush family for having to walk the tight rope they obviously walk with the Saudis.
