If CBS thinks I'm going to watch THEIR version of a tribute, they're insane. They'll probably ask Barbra Streisand and James Brolin to recall how their "truthful portrayal" was boycotted. In the words of President George H.W. Bush a la Dana Carvey, "Uh uh. Ain't gonna do it."
I watched it. It was very good! I was so shocked I could barely believe it! It was the first time I cried since I heard the news yesterday. 60 minutes actually did a very nice job! They played up the President's humor alot, but that's ok! President Reagan USED humor alot, and he did very well with it. Even Andy Rooney was respectful about D-day. I about bit my tongue off.
I just caught ten minutes of the show, and Leslie Stahl hammered a negative question every minute with some liberal historian. What a B!!!t. In short, a hit piece.
