Amid tight security measures, thousands of demonstrators marched through Rome on Friday to protest the visit of President Bush to Italy and that country's participation in the war in Iraq. Protesters swarmed the streets of central Rome after Bush met with Pope John Paul II, one of the strongest critics of the war. Police estimated the number of demonstrators at 500,000.

BBC: ---------- Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in Italy to protest against a visit from George Bush. ... Protest organisers say there were around 150,000 people but the police reckon there were more like 25,000. ... ----------
News24: ---------- More than 30 000 anti-war protesters were taking part in a demonstration in central Rome on Friday against the visit of US President George W Bush, AFP reporters and photographers on the street said. ... Police sources quoted by Italy's Ansa news agency put the size of the demonstration at up to 25 000. However, Rome police headquarters declined to give an official estimate of the crowd. ... ---------- but, guess what CNN is reporting?
CNN's lies are becoming extreme to the point of absurdity.
Nothing the Communist News Network does surprises me anymore.
I should be shocked and outraged, but I'm not. That's exactly what the communists, socialists, and fascists among us want.
BBC: "but the police reckon there were more like 25,000."
Perfectly understandable. The CNN number indicated the number of fingers and toes of the protestors.
Clarification: What I mean is "shame on me." The communists, socialists and fascists want us to be lethargic -- that's what they're counting on.
They don't want us to be shocked and outraged.
even Reuters is not this goofy
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=5349427
"Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who has been a staunch ally of Bush, said the demonstration against the U.S. leader had been "a flop" and had attracted only a few thousand protesters.
The organizers of the march said 200,000 people participated. Police put the number at 25,000.
"
LOL!
<< Perfectly understandable. The CNN number indicated the number of fingers and toes of the protestors.>>
I wonder if CNN will retract this absurd estimate.
Yes, and probably the lice, crabs, etc.
CNN is reporting that protesters are numbering around a half-million.
Protesters swarmed the streets of central Rome after Bush met with Pope John Paul II, one of the strongest critics of the war. Police estimated the number of demonstrators at 500,000.While the BBC has the number of protesters at a far more realistic 25,000, also based on police estimates.
Organisers say 150,000 people have turned out for the protest, while police put the figure at 25,000.So which is it, CNN? 25,000 or a half-million? Anything to slander Bush and further your own so-called unbiased agenda?
CNN wants Bush protesters to be the top story rather than 248,000 new jobs in May. CNN is in full democrap campaign mode.
Now that is some nifty html work. Well done!
Yep, of course CNN is all about getting the facts! Right? NOT!!!
Do you think CNN uses the same counting methods to report their income on their tax returns?
Yeah right...
If full disclosure were given by CNN, it would tell us that the police source referenced in this report is actually, in all probability, a communist party member who had no authority to speak on behalf of this matter but whom CNN knew would give the number it wanted.
This is getting very scary. While I'm not surprised, I am shocked. There is a difference, it's like being in a car wreck you know is coming: You know it is going to happen, but it's still jarring.
This has got to stop.
If CNN's not getting paid by the DNC, they're giving it away for free. Whores or fools - anyone?
Oh yeah?!?! Oh yeah?!? Well, I went to a Bush rally last week that had like a BILLION people at it!!
So there.
