Great, give the left another tool that they can turn on us when they get back in power. I think that sometimes those in congress do not quite think things thru before they propose them.
The Mutual Assured Destruction idea has (fortunately) held sway so far. For the most part, members of both parties in Congress they know that it is preferable to have a Supreme Court that sometimes makes decisions they don't like to having the supreme laws of the land change every two years, depending on which party controls Congress.
