Calling all Bikers for Kerry, join the Rally for Kerry (And let's pray for rain!)

Calling all Bikers for Kerry, join the Rally for Kerry which will be taking place all across the United States in July!

This is a grassroots event that will join bikers all across the country as they take to the highways and country roads and head to Boston to show their support for John Kerry outside of the convention.

We currently have a west coast coordinator, a north east coordinator and we need all bikers who are interested in participating in this event to get involved and help to spread the word.

We're asking that MeetUp hosts bring up this event at their next MeetUp and that this email be passed on to any and all Kerry Yahoo Groups not on this list, as well as any other Kerry groups that anyone has contact with.

For more information about this event please visit - http://www.rallytojohnkerry.com/ or http://d21c.com/Bammo/Bikers_for_JK.html

If you can't join in the trip to Boston, then consider meeting the riders along the route and showing your support by riding with them for an hour or two! We'll be crossing through Red States and with enough support this will be an event that will be picked up by the media all across the country!

Another way Bikers for Kerry can show their support is by having local Biker For Kerry runs that can be fundraisers!

Let's show Bush the Door!

Somehow resonates with the "Bush uses training wheels on his bike" comment Kerry made yesterday. How timely. 8-^

Bikers for Kerry?
I could not believe any self respecting Harley rider would even contemplate such a thing - except for maybe a few of the Credit Card Commandos.
Then I read the first link. Yep. Credit Card Commandos.
Note: Credit Card Commando = a person of means who buys a Harley and rides it only occasionally on perfect day weekends and only for short distances, ala Hanoi John for a photo op.

Oh, this is great for Freeping. I'm keeping an eye out for how close by they will get to me. Many cycle clubs in my area, but I don't think any would be politically motivated. If anyone has any ideas that would be totally safe, I always have a camera with me.

Well, I'm assuming they'll publish their route or leave incriminating out there about where they're headed.

Ideas? Use old bedsheets to put pro-Bush signs on highway overpasses. Have bikers infiltrate the motorcade wearing Bush t-shirts.

Anybody who rides a bicycle into Boston has a death wish. Massachusetts boasts some of the worst drivers in the world. They love to lie in wait behind stop signs and pull out on your right just as you drive by.

I anticipate that this could turn into a Darwinian event.
