Well, maybe after this the dumbs___s will stop SHOOTING FULL-AUTO RIFLES IN THE AIR in celebration! They act like it's their country with their own culture. What a bunch of crazies!

OK Iraqis here's the deal. Remember when we put our panties on your head? Yes, that's right, it was an egregious affront to your culture. We know that now. Its good to learn new things about different groups of people don't you think?
So here's something you might not know about us. We typically don't like being shot at. Yes, I know its common for y'all to run around letting fly with a few good natured hello shots. But we actually perceive that as an aggressive move and tend to eliminate its source.
So now you know.

At least, not without a keg of beer and a polka band. I've never seen a keg last until 2:45 am. At least not at the parties I've been to.

yeah - the headless child mention smacks of planning a bit too hard for effect.

American troops have sometimes mistaken celebratory gunfire for hostile fire There is no difference in my opinion. You are firing lots of rounds of amo in a war zone. We are not going to take a whole lot of time trying to figure out if it is a celebration, a gang fight or whatever else. You start shooting during a war, you better expect return fire.

Two wedding parties in 15 minutes? What are children doing firing AK-47s into the air at 3 AM?

This is a propaganda set up ... don't doubt for a minute that Zarqawi wouldn't slaughter women and children to get a propaganda piece the Arab press would gobble up willingly. Intergity is not something the Arab Press comprehends He sure does seem to like videos
This story reminds me of the accident that happened in Afgan either last year or the year before

Yep, here they were, in the middle of the desert at 2:45 am on a weeknight, having a wedding party while watching the bride having her genitals mutilated, firing their guns in the air like all good rag-heads do at parties, and along comes the big bad helicopter

American troops have sometimes mistaken celebratory gunfire for hostile fire.I'm just guessing, but isn't all gunfire potentially dangerous?

Arabs report 20 dead. America reports 45 dead. The descrepency can be found here
15 children and 10 women
The arabs don't count women and children as people.

"Al-Ani said people at the wedding fired weapons in the air"Iraq should adopt the Brady Bill? /sarcasm
Seems like everyone in the Middle East fires their AK47s at a moment's notice.

I'll venture a guess. The forecast for Al Kut is high 101, low 78. By 2:30 AM, it may have dropped to a tolerable 85, thus the late wedding. If this was truthfully a wedding celebration, it is a shame, but how stupid can they be firing in a war zone?
