I have a vague memory of visiting the monument with my family when I was a teen-ager. Seemed like my mom and I made it halfway up the monument on the stairs and my dad and brother went on up to the top. Remember my brother bragging about the view up there.

I haven't been by in all these years. Now that my daughter lives just outside of DC, I guess I'll have an excuse to be a tourist once agin!
