One thing you would never want to see is me in a pair of tights...Those are really not much different than a pair of long-johns...
except they don't have a trapdoor, of course.
In colder climates, they may be useful for keeping warm by dressing in layers
but by themselves, it's too much like appearing in public dressed only in your skivvies.
