May 12, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - A young American contractor in Iraq was mercilessly beheaded by Islamic terrorists on a horrifying videotape released yesterday as so-called revenge for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners. The sickening video, posted on an al Qaeda-linked Web site, shows a killer identified as terror boss Abu Musab Zarqawi sawing off the head of a screaming Nick Berg.

We need to drop a great big bomb on a non-civilian target somewhere to make our outrage known.

It must be a politically correct target so as not to offend
anyone however.

I heard a report on the news this evening that the boy was due to leave Iraq, but had been detained at the last minute by Iraqi police...

are we still infiltrated with bad iraqis in their new police force?
I wonder if we have unknowingly put Zarqawi himself, on the payroll?

I watched and listened to the video, I think most of the screams and hollering was from the terrorist.

Well we did almost put the wrong Iraqi General in charge
but someone noticed the spelling of the names was a wee bit different.

Think our man Bremmer almost pulled that one off.

Don't worry, CBS won't show this image of a grieving family---too traumatic don't cha know.

But don't worry, more prison "abuse" photos are on the way.

I wonder if some of those poor abused babies in the pictures were being asked about this poor man's whereabouts?

This story conflicts with the pic I saw of the body on the bridge, also, there was a professor also killed and beheaded this weekend and also thrown in the streets. This was done because he would not let students post religious banners on the school walls.

"...Americans are, by nature, optimists with short memories. It’s the one thing about us that our former enemies find most charming. We are, by nature, suckers for the optimistic Geographic picture-postcard vision of the world that suggests that cultural differences are, more or less, only skin deep. Well, on September eleventh America received a nasty sucker punch and a wake-up call from the Seventh Century announcing that the sword arm of Islam is alive and well and spoiling for a fight. Surprise, America! The Assassins are back and they have computers, and pilot’s licenses, and fat bank accounts. They have the clandestine support of foreign governments. They have a vision of a supreme over-arching Islam. They hate our guts.

We were lulled by our own best tendencies to believe that we could always work out our differences with other cultures. We are perplexed by fanaticism. It’s so un-American; it’s so un-cool; it’s so yesterday. But the truth is now before us: for millions of foreigners fanaticism is in fashion. The Quran, with its degrading and pessimistic vision of all non-Muslims, is a constant incitement to hostility. The followers of Muhammad, the self-anointed Messenger of God-turned-Field Marshal, have blood in their eye and they’re looking our way. Brace yourselves. It’s going to be a long and nasty struggle."

The Menacing Nature of Islam

If we aren't willing to kill these people and a few of their closest friends and neighbors, the time to leave
Iraq is today.

No, just non-civilian.

A hive of terrorists in a camp being blown to oblivion, taped would be good.

And, when are we going to do something about closing down that Arab version of CNN? I consider that a viable target as well. Send a magnetic pulse at it and fry them or something.
How many lives are bing lost due to that Arab bullshit station?

If true, by which police? They would be in need of justice if that happened.

Iraqi police at mosul apparently.
John Huang2 has another article up that sortof sounded like the news break on a Portland Talk Station...

I think it may be unclear as to WHAT the man was doing there, the mosule cops detained him for several days... while the fbi questioned his parents about his work in Iraq... or something.

NO I DON'T know what that means.
The article does not go into details about his release.
the news report made it sound as if he was arrested by iraqi police for some unknown reason, and released, but was never hearrd from again...

MY QUESTIONS: Did one of our "new Iraqi" police force members, turn him over to the bad guys in retribution? or IS one of the Iraqi "cops" actually a quaieda member? and Why did no one know where the kid was, AFTER being "supposedly" released?

IF the new Iraqi police force was partner to this brutal murder... that group of cops, needs to face a midnight visit, OFF camera...along with their friends.

ps if you find anything else out about WHO was behind and involved in this one... I would appreciate a ping tomorrow.

from John Huang2's article:

Berg's mother explained he was in Iraq to help rebuild communication antennas.

"He had this idea that he could help rebuild the infrastructure," she told AP.

The Pentagon confirmed a U.S. civilian was found dead in Iraq but did not release his identity.

The family says Berg was detained by Iraqi officials at a Mosul checkpoint.

"He was arrested and held without due process," Michael Berg told the Daily Local News of West Chester, Pa., at the time. "By the time he got out the whole area was inflamed with violence."

According to AP, the FBI on March 31 interviewed Berg's parents in West Chester. Jerri Williams, a spokeswoman for the Philadelphia FBI office, told The Philadelphia Inquirer the agency had been "asked to interview the parents regarding Mr. Berg's purpose in Iraq."
