Islamic Web site claims revenge killing Video shows beheading of man identified as AmericanBREAKING NEWS The Associated Press Updated: 1:28 p.m. ET May 11, 2004CAIRO, Egypt - A video posted Tuesday on an Islamic militant Web site showed a group affiliated with al-Qaida beheading an American civilian in Iraq, saying the death was revenge for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by American soldiers.

The video showed five men wearing headscarves and black ski masks, standing over a bound man in an orange jumpsuit — similar to a prisoner’s uniform — who identified himself as Nick Berg, a U.S. contractor whose body was found on a highway overpass in Baghdad on Saturday.

“My name is Nick Berg, my father’s name is Michael, my mother’s name is Susan,” the man said on the video. “I have a brother and sister, David and Sarah. I live in ... Philadelphia.”

After reading a statement, the men were seen pulling the man to his side and putting a large knife to his neck. A scream sounded as the men cut his head off, shouting “Allahu Akbar!” — “God is great.” They then held the head out before the camera.

Berg was a small-business owner from the Philadelphia suburbs, his family said Tuesday.

I just heard a report on FOX NEWS and one word used for the description of the video that he witnessed was 'degrading', I had to turn FOX NEWS off........first they use the word TORTURE to describe the degradation in the prison, now they use the word degradation to describe a BEHEADING. We have got to start taking the WOT seriously, VERY seriously and stop castigating ourselves.

Aside from everything else that is despicable about this whole business, one of my first reactions was that I'd rather be a prisoner of the U.S. than of the Iraqis. Our people may get out of hand and play games with terrorists, but their people cut off the heads of innocent people.

CBS, the rest of the media, and the Democrats are all responsible for this. They wouldn't be playing these games if they didn't know they would have an impact on our own fifth columnists.

It's time to assasinate 100 Iraqi prisoners (we have plenty of murderers in custody to serve this purpose) for every American hostage killed.

The story is in the mainstream media now. I think though that the media message is that we deserve it and much more for being unkind to the poor, poor oppressed muslims.

We are being laughed at by the the rest of the world.

When the next big attack comes here to the U.S., will the media clamor for the heads of the attackers? I think not.
