Provincetown To Grant Licenses To Out-Of-State Couples

PROVINCETOWN, Mass. -- Out-of-state gay couples will be able to get marriage licenses in Provincetown.

The Cape Cod town's board of selectmen voted unanimously Monday to give licenses to nonresident couples, even if they have no intention of living in Massachusetts.

Gov. Mitt Romney immediately issued a statement saying those marriages would be considered null and void. He also said his office will pursue "appropriate enforcement action" against clerks who defy state law.

Romney previously said that a 1913 state law bars out-of-state gay couples from marrying in Massachusetts, unless they have immediate plans to move here.

The Provincetown decision sets up the likelihood of continued legal action after the May 17 legalization of gay marriage.

Q: What do you do if you drop your wallet in P-Town?

A: Kick it to the Truro town line.

Old Cape Cod joke.

ROTFLMAO...

I knew some people in North Truro- I went up there to visit them a few years ago, and when I drove to P-Town, they told me to never let go of my girlfriend!
It was off-season, but I saw enough "Sights" to lastr me for years...

Government officials break the law for the liberal cause and it's completely ignored, even applauded.

Rule of law? Only when it stops conservatives...

Homosexual Agenda Ping - Don't Go to Provincetown!

Why doesn't Provincetown secede from the US if they don't like following the law?

Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
