MOSCOW (Reuters) - The head of the pro-Moscow Chechen administration on Sunday denied reports that regional president Akhmad Kadyrov and other top officials had been killed in a blast at a stadium.

"According to my information, Akhmad Kadyrov received injuries of moderate seriousness, but his life is not in danger," said Ziad Sabsabi, head of the Chechen administration, told Itar-Tass news agency.

Separately, Tass also quoted Chechen officials as saying that the general in charge of Russian troops in Chechnya, Valery Baranov who had also been earlier reported killed, was being operated on for his injuries.

Agreed. If he is dead we will find out. If he survives, we will find out.

Weird, the response came out of Moscow pretty fast. And getting the IED under the bleachers would have been difficult even in Grozny, the FSB would have been working the stadium. Remember the reds got sick of Pres Hafizullah Amin in Kabul and whacked him back in 79, maybe Moscow was sick of Kadyrov as well, and the black baggers botched it. More than enough plausible denial to go around...

Pass the Poi dangit.

About an hour ago Eyewitness News report on my local station; It turns out that he has been killed along with a Russian general, who were two out of a dozen possibly murdered at V-day celebrations. They supposedly detained five suspects at the scene of the crime.

CNN headline says he's dead. This will be interesting. CNN vs. Reuters, one really screwed up the reporting.

Even if Kadyrov were dead, I don't think the Russians would be eager to broadcast that fact to the rest of the world.

Considering the secrecy of Putin's government, the Chechen front is probably the only place where you'll get some unfiltered news coverage-from international media of course-served to you straight.

The only problem is that the media give too much credibility to these European representatives of the "Republic of Ichkeria", who are actually serving two masters (the provisonal, quasi-state that's portrayed at various intervals as either being a collection of brave freedom-fighters, or a despondent nation of martyrs grieving for their dead, and the group they owe their real allegiance to: Saudi-funded, Wahhabi idealogues.)

President Putin has allready made the annuncement: Kadyrov was killed. Along with sevral other his ministers and Russian generals. The Wahabbis have been trying to kill him for sevral years. He was the Sufi Mufta (grand poobah) but many Sufi Chechens also hate him because of his son Ranzan in charge of the militias that round up whole families of rebels and make them "dissappear." Whoever put the bomb had to have "help" from colaberattors. Kadyrov was not very trust-worthy but he was the best choice for a chechen leader. Once he was a sepratist, but he had recognized the danger with the arabs and Wahabbis trying to take over. Putin's Chechenization Plan is killed along with Kadyrov.
