Hawai'i possibly within range of North Korea missile

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea is preparing to deploy a new missile that could reach Guam and possibly Hawai'i, South Korean newspapers reported this week.

The North has been trying for years to develop ballistic missiles that could reach the United States. The reports suggest the North has made more progress than thought, an alarming development because the regime may have nuclear bombs.

The reports cited unnamed South Korean officials saying that a U.S. intelligence satellite recently picked up evidence of two new missile bases under construction in North Korea. Missiles and mobile launching pads at the sites were said to be of a design that did not resemble North Korea's Rodong missiles.

Any chancd that this is related to the train disaster a few weeks ago. The "mobile" lauchers are on railcars....could it have been a test gone bad? and still no Kim sightings?

Tell me now, why is Hawaii a state? Especially with this whole nativist movement thing going on? Make it a protectorate.

The IRBM might reach hawaii, but the ICBM will, and the West Coast, too.

You guys got nuked once before, in 1963, when an atomospheric test 800 miles away EMP'd circuits all over Hawaii.

I wonder how many of the North Korean citizens actually know details about what is going on with their government.

I believe it was from Paul Harvey that I recently learned that all North Korean citizens must wear a lapel pin bearing the likeness of one or both the the Kims, Jong-Il or Il-Sung, at all times when outdoors or around others.

How exactly is this enforced in the back country areas, I wonder, and what happens if you lose your pin while you're out stripping tree bark to boil up for supper? Do you have to remain indoors until the donkey express delivers a new one?

I also learned something new the other day, that being, Hawaii is the most remote land mass on earth. It's farther from any other body of land than any other place on the planet. That's a sobering thought. How much would it cost me to buy the whole place and kick everyone off 'ceptin me and the missus? Talk about sweet dreamin' and non-stop nudism! The most remote place on earth all to yourself, and that being Hawaii no less.

Aye, sadly that is the case.

You guys got nuked once before, in 1963, when an atomospheric test 800 miles away EMP'd circuits all over Hawaii.

Jeepers, I was just a tadpole back then. Perhaps there's a correlation between this and the Dem voting?

" the whole friggin country lit up with Nukes."

Depends on which the wind is blowing. We are not going to contaminate Japan with fallout. We did that once before.
