FAX DeLay and Frist: NO more commissions, NO more investigations (Iraqi Torture commission)
Now the Democrats are ready to demand an "independent investigation" into the PC Iraqi Torture "scandal"! Enough is enough! Please send a fax to Tom DeLay and Frist and let them know: NO MORE COMMISSIONS! No more Democrat witch hunts aimed, not at the truth, but at gaining an election year advantage.
1. Click HERE.
2. Enter the fax number in the window as follows (it must read exactly like this):
Tom Delay: +1-202-225-5241
Bill Frist: +1-202-228-1264
3. If you use the form, don't forget to include your email address. Otherwise, it won't send.
4. Draft a fax. If you are short on time, here is a sample:
Do not accede to any more Democrat demands for independent commissions or investigations.
The Democrats' election year strategy is clear -- seize on any "scandal" that arises and demand investigation after investigation, and commission after commission, until the news is saturated, every day, with "news" and "leaks" from such commissions and investigations. But, Democrats do this not because they are interested in getting to the "truth," but because they hope that these "witch hunts" will damage the GOP in an election year.
Democrats hope that the constant "drip, drip" of bad news (for the administration) from such commissions will weaken the President's ratings while keeping their vulnerable nominee, Mr. Kerry, out of the news -- except for his OWN attacks on the President and Republicans based on commissions and investigations (effectively, a "pile on").
This is not a conjecture, or guess, or mere theory -- in a Democrat memo from the Senate Select Intelligence Committee released to the press late last year, Democrats -- in black and white -- expressly advocated the use of such a "victory by investigation" strategy. This is unacceptable.
The experience of the 9/11 Commission reveals the folly of acceding to such Democrat demands -- the partisanship (e.g. Gorelick), the leaks, the showboating, and the fact that WE, the taxpayers, are footing the bill for these partisan shenanigans. We do not need another 9/11 Commission fiasco.
Therefore, I implore you... do not continue to fall for this Democrat ploy. At the minimum, "just say no." At the maximum, call them out on their shameful, partisan, election year strategy.
Also keep this in mind: no matter what the GOP does, no matter how "nice" we play, the Democrats and the press will never like you. Just look at the failure of the President's "new tone." Look at how the Democrats and the press continue to treat Republicans, no matter how much you have done to placate them. These people cannot be appeased, so please do not continue to try to do so -- it will merely damage you, and it will be in vain.
The Democrats are playing political hardball -- the GOP must respond in kind. Thus, as an American citizen, and taxpayer, I strongly urge you -- do NOT accede to any more Democrat demands for investigations or commissions. Hopefully, you learned your lesson from the experience of the 9/11 Commission
Sincerely,
That's it. Also, if your Congressman and/or Senators are Republicans (and ONLY IF they are Republicans), send this to them as well. You can look up your Congressman's contact info here, and your Senators' contact info here.

So you think this is the "trigger" they have been waiting for described in Rockey's LEAKED memo?
To: jmstein7
We should have a commission to find out why there are so many commissions.

Not necessarily "the" trigger, but it is "A" trigger.
This fits completely within the general strategy outlined in that memo.

The issue will certainly be addressed through a committee in Congress.
Independent investigations were "outlawed" after Bubba....remember!!!!!! The Gore Lick commission should never have occurred.
Remember Hitlery...she predicted (threatened) an October surprise that would change the whole race for the Whithouse. Tell Kerry to watch his back.....he may be in for a REAL SERIOUS fall. I suppose he won't grace us with any mountain climbing skills and continue with his obviously, awkward, unskilled, "riding" skills but hey, "sh**" happens.

That MEMO needs to be "front page" again reminding all what these liberals are conspiring to pull this "election" year.
All the while not one ruffled feather out of these chickens, donkeys, and liars about that scam of facilitating Saddam in butchering those people of Iraq under that most historic scheme of UN led "Oil for rotten Food" program.

"Independent investigations were "outlawed" after Bubba....remember!!!!!! The Gore Lick commission should never have occurred."
We are talking about a group of lawless people and there is no law they won't break or seek to bring back if it suits their purposes. They just need to get the Republicans to take the lead... and what better "subject" than "morality".
That MEMO is their Road Map, and first in the scheme is to get the Republicans to take the lead so they can get their grubby fingers on the "INTEL".

Done! Also, I faxed all of the Repubs on the intelligence committee. They are meeting in "private" today to discuss this, so it can't hurt to let them know how you feel.
(Go to congress.org to get the members of the committee and click on their names to get their fax info.)
