Muslims in the United States experienced more than 1,000 incidents of alleged harassment, violence and discriminatory treatment in 2003, a jump of 70 percent over the previous year, according to a report to be released today by a major Islamic advocacy group.

I've seen CAIR's idea of "discriminatory treatment" worthy of reporting as a hate crime: Dirty looks. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, if you give someone a dirty look and they happen to be muslim, you are committing a discriminatory act and as far as they are concerned, it's a hate crime. And it doesn't matter WHY you gave them that look. They may have just cut you off in traffic, but as far as some of these folks are concerned, we dhimmis have no right to raise our eyes at all.
