AC/DC play Falluja: Washington’s Weapon of Oz Distraction

First comes the bell, tolling mournfully. Then a meandering riff redolent with fuzz and feedback, absurdly, idiotically simple and all the more brilliant for it. After feeling about for some seconds, the riff is joined by a pounding rhythm line, and within a few moments here come the vocals - reminiscent of a donkey being rudely slaughtered.
If rock is a weapon, then the Americans have an arsenal and a half.

When you can carry a small piece of home around with you in the player, it helps to create that bubble of reality that the occupying forces have built in Iraq to counter the threat of the drab and dangerous streets. The army bases are the strongholds of Shania Twain, The Simpsons, and Fox News. Too bad Shania Twain is Canadian, but the troops love Fox News.

AC/DC rocks... but if we want to terrorize those Mohammedan heretics, then we should play Christina Aguilera out loud.

I would think this song,
Hells Bells," and "We Have Big Balls," should do it.

AC/DC are great.
Another suggestion:
Tool - but not Eggs of Satan.
That might encourage them.
To: kddid
After thinking about it more carefully we should probably throw in some "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap."

That article is hilarious. AC/DC is the highest achievement of western culture? My wife might agree, but I'd probably not go quite so far. I can well imagine how effective it would be in rattling Iraqis though. I can think of quite a few songs that might be effective in the situation they are in. If they want to keep them awake at night, they could play "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together and Grooving With a Pict", which is on Pink Floyd's Ummagumma album. It's the only song I can't read to. The noise completely disrupts my thought processes entirely and I either have to skip it, or just wait until it is over to get on with whatever I was doing :-)

The cannon blasts in For Those About to Rock We Salute You are a good overture.

It must give our soldiers great pleasure to drown out the Muslim call to prayers with Highway to Hell.

Can we get some Arabic Translations of these songs?.
To: zeugma
Sorry, but that is one of the most memorable songs I've ever heard.

Heehee, I can think of all kinds of good songs to throw at them. Let's start with Motorhead. Then we can progress to Metallica, Pantera, Marilyn Manson, Outlaws and Lynyrd Skynyrd(hell, why not), then Pink Floyd when we're mopping up.

How about "Careful With That Axe, Eugene?" They would have no idea what to do with that one.
Probably scare the mess out of them.

After the Iranian UFO thread, I've got Slim Whitman on the brain. But if his Indian Love Call works against Martians, why not Islamists?
