"Do you think god cares or needs to be included in a pledge to a flag?"
"I watched the "Bells of Saint Mary's" where Ingrid Bergman and the other nuns led the school children in the pledge -- without including "under god".
I suppose they "dwell in hell" too?

Your talking about a 40s movie v. McDermott leading a prayer in the House of Representatives.
By the way, McDermott is one of 57 House members that are devout card carrying socialists. Telling me, he is one step from being a Godless Communist.

By your post, it sounds like you don't like God in the Pledge either?

This old fool didn't omit, Under God, by accident. I saw it on tv, and he remained silent when it got to that phrase. He would have continued on, without pause, if he truly forget that Under God was part of the Pledge.

Lets hope there are ENOUGH people with a soul left in Washington State to vote this creep out of office.

I'm beginning to get worried (really worried).

Then we drive by Ft. Lewis, see the patriots on the overpass and feel hopeful again!

I have no problem with this.

If his loyalty to Country is greater than his loyalty to God; SO BE IT.

Kids should be allowed to express the order of their loyalties too! With or Without "under God"; The Pledge & its "patriotism message" is valid for America's kids.

Thank you for posting this! Thank you!

Well he remembered to vote "NO"! I guess this is settled?

He has no loyalty to either.

Has anybody there ever considered shoving a couple of sticks of dynamite up Comrade Lenin's ass?

I certainly would respect people who leave out "under God" because they learned it that way, such as your grandparents, or if they are atheists. But to publicly be reciting the pledge as an official duty and leave it out rather offensive and childishly rebellious.

Mike DeCesare, said his boss "hesitated, unsure of what he should do because the words 'under God' are under court review."

Then tell his bungholiness that until a court ruling comes out, people with a brain continue as usual.

I read your post and I thought, what is this guy a liber... and then I read your tag line.

Why is it on moral issues the libertarians always seem to be right in there with the atheists, queers, anti-American traitors, Democrats, Communists, and McDermotts of this world.

McDermott must be getting some really negative feedback on this for him to dispatch one of his lackeys with this obviously phoney excuse.
