Bush built presidency on foundation of lies

Editor, the Tribune: I saw a "George Bush for President" advertisement on television that encapsulates my concern about this man.
This advertisement asserted that John Kerrys voting record proves he is trouble for the economy. To prove this point, the advertisement then lists the number of times Kerry voted for tax increases.
This is a non sequitur, a conclusion that does not follow from the evidence. Tax increases are not related to the health of the economy. If they were, Bushs tax cuts would not have left us with the highest unemployment rate in years and with a massive deficit that must be paid by our children.
Bushs entire presidency is pockmarked by this kind of doublespeak. He talks about the "war on terrorism," although he admitted that Saddam Hussein was not involved in 9/11. He boasts "No Child Left Behind," but he does not adequately fund the program. He claims to support the troops, but he is only there for photo opportunities and does not attend funerals. His Clear Skies Act reverses the Clean Air Act. He is bringing freedom to Iraq by shutting down newspapers and hunting religious leaders. His tax cuts serve only the wealthy and increase state and local taxes. And his story about weapons of mass destruction has changed shape so many times it is laughable.
Bushs presidency is based on a smoke screen of deceit and lies. And we can expect a heavy dose of it all until the election.

this guy sure sounds like he knows what he is talking about - I think he has convinced me.
Maybe I can go stick a "Bush/Cheney 2004" sign in his yard.....

although he admitted that Saddam Hussein was not involved in 9/11.Bush has said no such thing. He has maintained that there is no conclusive evidence of Saddam's involvement in the 9/11 attacks. But we are just starting to unravel the tangled connection between the Oil-for-Food program and the funding of terrorism. Despite the lack of conclusive evidence, there is a mountain of circumstantial evidence linking Saddam to the WTC bombing in 1993, and if there is a link there, there is a possible link with 9/11.

He talks about the "war on terrorism," although he admitted that Saddam Hussein was not involved in 9/11.
If all the terrorism in all the world happened on 9/11, this douche-nozzle might have a point.
Saddam Hussein openly, and proudly, supported many terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas.
His tax cuts serve only the wealthy and increase state and local taxes.
Everybody who paid taxes got a cut from Bush. And Bush does not and can not increase state and local taxes.
This guy should have Dumbass tattooed on his forehead.

He is bringing freedom to Iraq by shutting down newspapers and hunting religious leaders. So now Sadr is a religious leader?!?
As for the paper, I suppose the U.S. forces have no responsibility to suppress sedition?
BTW: What IS the statute of limitations on sedition and why can't Kerry be prosecuted for participating in a meeting where the assassination of U.S. Senators was considered?

I suspect this guy is a Bush/Cheney supporter -- maybe he's one of their campaign operatives. I mean, he seems to support Kerry, but all he really does is emphasize Kerry's support for tax increases. It's a very clever way of drawing people to the Republican ticket.
