Can One American Make a Difference In The National Political Process?
Released by:Jonathan M. Stein
Summary: Grassroots activist runs self-produced political ads. A single Law Student from New York City attempts to influence the political process.
For_Immediate_Release: Jonathan Stein, a single grassroots activist, and Law Student from New York City, has decided to produce and run his own political ads in an attempt to see if a single citizen can make a difference in the political process.
One ad, currently airing in Anderson and Lafayette Indiana on Insight Cable, highlights how John Kerry accuses his opponents of attacking him when they raise substantive points about his record to actually avoid answering substantive questions. Another accuses Democrats of fanning the flames of public anger in an attempt to win elections without having to tell the public what Democrats would do differently. Mr. Stein intends to create and run more ads, in more markets, as the campaign season progresses. He credits himself as the sole sponsor of the ads.
Mr. Stein is a second year law student in New York City and a graduate of Brown University with degrees in Political Science and Economics.

I like the idea, but his choice of venues makes me think this is more of a poly-sci / opinion-poll survey. I work in Anderson, Indiana and it's a disgruntled union town, a la Flint, Michigan. Major automotive has been abandoning Anderson for the last decade, leaving a lot of bitter union members behind. I'm going to watch for the ads.

Added: If he really wants to test something, he should try to run these less than 90-days before an election.
