Imagine the good they could do by protesting silently for one year!

For one day they will shut up and stop shagging...

Well, at least they'll shut up.

Sounds like a good reason to shout from the mountaintops just how immoral and wrong these queers are - the more noise the better! That would represent my "support" for these freaks....

Yep, but I need to head out for the night. If you see any other 'Day of Silence' threads this evening, please post the link to the 'TRUTH WITHOUT INTERRUPTION DAY-- APRIL 21, 2004' thread. Thanks!

Hi Eric. Tony from Stockton here. I just wish I had a kid to keep out of school that day. A day at the beach sounds great.

This is what the students will be hearing tomorrow (Tuesday, April 20) from the principal of Mission Viejo High School where two of my children attend. It differs in dates from what you mentioned, but I think it's the same event.

This Wednesday is our last late-start day for the year, so enjoy your last opportunity to sleep in a little bit. It is also a day when some students will be participating in a day of silence to bring about awareness of tolerance and respect for all students. This activity is being sponsored by PAL with the support of the Task Force and Multicultural Clubs and I need to make it clear that it is not school sponsored nor is it sponsored by the district or Board of Education. I also want to make it clear that this can only take place outside of class and that students are required to respond verbally in class as usual. This is a student-led activity and students should not feel any pressure to participate or not to participate. Teachers as well as administrators at MVHS always try to be supportive of student activities but to allow any participation or promotion of this activity in class would not be appropriate because it would disrupt the learning environment and may make some students feel uncomfortable, which is counter-productive to its whole intent.

The way the activity was described to me was that its intent is to address all forms of discrimination, harassment and prejudice. As a school, we have a responsibility to ensure that all students can come to school free from derogatory comments or any behavior which makes them feel unsafe physically or emotionally. I hope that this is the message that comes across on Wednesday. Some of you might be wondering why we even need to be talking about this. We have a wonderful environment here at MVHS and we have the nicest, kindest students of any high school. I am constantly telling people how lucky we all are to be here. Unfortunately, we still have a few instances where students are not treated with respect and even one such instance is too many. I received an email over vacation with a suggestion for a pledge for this day and I think this should be our pledge for every day:

"I am pledging to treat all of those with whom I come in contact with dignity and honor. I understand that we do not all share the same values, but I value you as a person and community member. I will seek to learn from you. I will expand my understanding by avoiding prejudice and unkindness. I will do my part to make my community, state, nation and world a better place by treating all with kindness and respect."

Thank you and have a great day!

Fresno, CA - Sunnyside High School's GSA-Free To Be

Sunnyside High School in Fresno California is planning a Silence No More Bash on Saturday April 24th, 2004 at the GSA Network office in Fresno. The address is 4403 E. Tulare Ave. Fresno CA, 93702. There will be free food and drinks, music and plenty of fun. We have invited many of the high schools in our district and surrounding district. We hope that this will be a “Night of Noise.”

This is interesting:

4. GSA Network-Fresno Unified Connections (Fresno)

Do you know students at any of these Fresno Unified high schools?
Duncan? Cambridge?

GSA Network, in cooperation with the Fresno Unified School District, is in the process of establishing on-going communication between activist students at all 8 FUSD high schools and their principals. If you know students who want to be a part of this important effort at Duncan or Cambridge High Schools, please contact Diana at the GSA Network regional office.

The school district is cooperating with this infiltration of the schools of the homosexual agenda? Gee, would they "cooperate" with a Conservative Club, or try to take their Free Speech away?

I'm pinging the Fresno crew although this is probably not your cup of tea, but maybe you may know someone of High School age or that goes to one of these High Schools to counter this perversion of our schools.

They aren't doing this at the HS in my town, but Tim Bueler and the Conservative Club at the HS here are getting together with some conservative students at Santa Rosa High School where this plan is being implemented.

Tim and spitfire read the following link; I will email it to you too.

This is a Long Read but very interesting. It is concerning the homosexual agenda at Santa Rosa High School.

I don't know anyone in these high schools. I have one high school age great-nephew but he is being home schooled.

It is crap like this that has my nieces home schooling their children.

Thanks for the ping, Syncro.

Homosexual Agenda Ping + Please Homeschool Your Kids Alert!

If anyone still thinks that homosexuals just want to "live and let live", here's something for them to read and digest. (Guaranteed to give some real bad indigestion, read with a roll of Tums.)

And if anyone thinks this is as bad as it's going to get, pour some cold water on your head and wake up!

Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

The title of this thread should more clearly reflect that the public schools are involved in this effort, so as to warn parents before Friday. Can it be altered?

The "love that dares not speak its name" has become "the love that never shuts up." Except for Friday - whoohah.

According to the Day of Silence website, they are registered to participate in the DoS event on the 21st:

SUNNYSIDE HIGH SCHOOL

The 'Silence No More Bash' is a post-Day-of-Silence party. It's a celebration that "breaks the silence" at the end of the DoS event ( see More than Silence - Organizing a Breaking the Silence Event ). The actual DoS events still take place at the schools on the 21st.

"Back in the day we would've laughed these fruitcakes right off the school grounds and then our parents would've stormed the principal's office demanding an explanation to why they were there in the first place."

We could still do that. If we stick together. Too many don't attend school board meetings, PTA, etc. Policy can be changed.
The majority still has a voice. Too often it is silenced by fear of PC persecution. As I said in another unrelated thread, if the local people allow this, they deserve what they get.
