He needs to move to a place where REAL people live, like Fresno. I bet he wouldn't be able to remain a liberal for very long. (I do have hopes for him, btw. He listens to a lot of talk radio, and his favorite is Lars Larsen up in Portland. From what I've heard of Larsen in subbing for Michael Medved, my brother may come to his senses yet.)

They gave the man a check, then stopped it?Sounds like they gave him a check that had no funds behind it, and asked him to hold it for a short while before cashing it. Perhaps they thought that an avalanche of advertisers, throwing money at them would make the check good.

Were all used to seeing the evolution of "Progressive" movements from a professed desire to serve the common man to "Up against the wall" for the minorities. History has shown us that this is what happens, time and time again. Usually this process takes years. Air America has made this transition in a mere two weeks. This has to be some sort of a record.

The liberals are saying Bush is lousy at diplomacy. Shutting the guys cash off that controls your outlet isn't the most diplomatic move. It sounds like a Texan Cowboy with no self control.
THe smart move is to first keep the program on the air and second negotiate a refund.

Plattsburgh? Plattsburgh? NY? Good grief! Talk about your far-flung frozen over hell-holes!
I can say that, I used to live there, and survived the liberal swill served at the local SUNY, as well as the rotgut of downtown (and Teddy Zachary's MOST EXCELLENT cuisine!)
At least I was responsible for the eagle staying on MacDonough monument that year....! (and several other years. Ex-SUNY-ites know what I'm talking about!)

Naw.
Morford's wrong in almost everything he says, but he's highly talented; that's why he has a following, even around here. We enjoy reading him even though we disagree with everything he says, because at his best, he has wonderful expressive flair.
Whoever wrote this press release has no flair. It was written in the badly forced pseudo-humourous style that's so appealing in lefty circles. It's about as unfunny as you can get.
In other words, it has "Air America" written all over it, which I suspect is why Air America has not been a notable success so far. Turns out Michael Moore's writing style is too grating to carry a three hour show. Heck, I can't even stand ten minutes of reading it; three hours of that smarmy pap would be unendurable, even if I was a lefty.

What's really surprising is the Riverside station. Riverside is in a heavily conservative area in SoCal. Can't get the station in, I tried. Probably 1000 watt station.

A native of China and longtime resident of Taiwan, Arthur Liu graduated from the Newhouse School with a master's degree in public communications in 1966. He then built a media empire that now includes more than 30 radio stations, three cable networks and a weekly publication.
Liu's Multicultural Radio Broadcasting, Inc. broadcasts daily in dozens of languages and has stations across the U.S., including major cities such as New York, Dallas, Los Angeles and Seattle. Yet Liu remains cognizant of the challenges faced by those starting out. "I am basically a very simple man and a practical one," Liu says. "I know only too well that without financial support, a good education and therefore, a rewarding job, can be difficult to attain. I had to work 60 hours a week to support my graduate studies; now I seem to be in the position to help others devote more undivided time to their studies."

Hi! I am a long time liberal democrat and I always listen to your show, but I have a problem with your
@##^+!@% attitude and am going to vote for Bush now.

Libs are the party of pieces--kissin cousins to terrorists.
First they advocate shooting Rumsfield and now violence against Liu. What is wrong with this picture?
