Agree with those who tie CFR in with the war against religion in general and Christianity in particular.

CFR is simply another step in a series that commenced decades ago and is rapidly approaching a de facto ban on religion as is occuring in Canada and already exists in several European nations.

Judicial bans on prayer and the display of religiously based materials in virtually all public places have become so common as to be greeted with indifference by most (and rejoicing by a significant minority). "Hate" crime bills are in place in many states and have been reviewed by the courts including the Supreme Court of the United States. Despite rather obvious Constitutional violations these laws have been upheld.

The passage of CFR, the President's signing of this bill and the court's upholding of same shows clearly that no branch of our government regards the First Amendment as the actual law of the land. With this attitude dominating in all three branches of our government there is no reason to suppose that a federal "Hate" crime bill very similar to the law now being put in place in Canada could not pass here. "Hate" crime legislation has been proposed at the federal level several times and only been prevented passage by Republican majorities. Who knows how long these will remain or if they will not shift their stances based on pressure from the media, leftists and homosexual pressure groups. We can be 100% certain that such pressure will continue and grow as the homosexual agenda gains headway at the local and state levels.

I believe that a de facto repeal of key provisions of our Constitution such that liberty is curtailed and redress by political means made all but impossible is grounds for armed rebellion and the replacement of the government by those who will reinstate the Constitution and abide by it.

Another Civil War? Do you believe there are sufficient numbers to support this?

Very well said. I see CFR as the move from the Judicial activist judges to the Legislative and Executive Branches.

"Agree with those who tie CFR in with the war against religion in general and Christianity in particular."

So do I. Both hate speech laws and CFR relate to the most fundamental of all constitutional rights--the right to free speech. Without that, the others fall away quickly.

For example, thanks to CFR, interest groups would now not be able to purchase commercials to point out a politician's favoring of hate speech laws that have the effect of "outlawing" the Bible, or a politician's favoring of the repeal of the Second Amendment.

All ten are inextricably tied together and they all have been relentlessly chipped away at. The only one that has grown is the one that is not an Amendment at all, but is just a mere "penumbra," the right to privacy.

Valin, would you please ping the CFR list? thanks. :)
