As many of you know, last summer my son was nearly a drowning victim. He was pulled from the pool and luckily the neighbor next door to the pool-owners' home was a lifeguard. Last week, the lifeguard, Joe Milligan, received an award from the Fountain Valley police.

Click on the link to see a great picture of my son & the police chief. There is also another picture of James on pg. 16.

Gubamyster, James is a doll. I still praise God for the good outcome of your little one's ordeal. Thank you so much for posting this link. I showed the picture to my littlest boy (age 5) and he wants James to come over and play with him. :) He remembers helping me pray for James when the accident happened. God bless ya'll!

He is doing great. He has no physical or mental problems from the accident. He is back to 100%. Thanks for asking.

I didn't know about your son. Thank God it wasn't a tragedy.

For some reason, I couldn't link to your son's picture (think it's my computer). I'll try later but tell me, does he get his good looks from the gubamyster himself?

That's the kind of medical report that I like to read!

Has everyone in the home had CPR classes? Only fair, next time you may be able to save someone elses child.

Yes, we have had CPR classes. Immediately after James was pulled from the pool I was clearing his airway & ready to begin CPR, but luckily Joe the lifeguard came. I don't think I could have given CPR well enough to save James, and certainly not as well as Joe. Practicing CPR in class is a lot different than trying to perform it in real life, and on your own kid. I don't want to think what would have happened had Joe not arrived.

The lack of gurgling noises is what I noticed the first time around. But It worked, thank goodness.

Good looking kid. Glad he's doing OK.

Also the police officer could pass for Joe Scarbourgh
