Six British cavers rescued in Mexico are to face another round of questioning over reports they were looking for radioactive materials on a potholing expedition.

But the allegations have been strongly denied by the Ministry of Defence which insist the men, including military personnel, were on a training exercise.

The six men, along with seven others which made up the team, have been detained by Mexican authorities over possible visa breaches.

Police will hand over the cavers' case to federal prosecutors, who will decide whether to take them to a prison, a holding centre, or leave them in a migration detention centre in eastern Mexico City.

The group could either be charged or turned over to immigration authorities again, who will decide if they were in breach of their tourist visas.

They could be deported, prohibited from returning for several years, face fines of up to 3,000 pesos (£180) or spend 18 months in jail if they are found to have broken immigration rules.

The last thing anyone needs to hear is the Mexican government under Vincente Fox accusing anyone about illegal entry or visa violations. This is a president who's national policies have failed to provide jobs for his people and his answer is to encourage them to invade the United States. Now he is complaining that tourists stuck in a cave broke Mexican laws? What about the laws of the United States violated by 10 million Mexicans?

I believe the actions of the Mexican government are caused by racial hatred.

Stop the hatred! Free the miners!
Stop the hatred! Free the miners!
Stop the hatred! Free the miners!

What do we want?
Free miners!
When do we want them free?
Now!

What's Fox problem? He's got so many illegals in Mexico, making their way into the USA for who knows what reason. He could care less. He sounds paranoid to me, what's he afraid of? What does he know that's really going on in his country that he is hiding? Suspect to me.
