Nah. If they were disabling escape routes, they would have melted the Northbound lanes, not the Southbound. Besides, a jihadi wouldn't last 5 minutes in Bridgeport. They'd eat 'em alive.
But the Goethals Bridge accident in NYC today had me thinking. There was also another bridge closure in NYC, but it must be cleared up by now since it's not on the radar.

The bridge, which connects Staten Island to New Jersey, was closed shortly after the 12:40 p.m. accident, and it was not immediately known when the span would be reopened, said Port Authority spokesman Tony Ciavolella. One of the trucks was carrying liquid nitrogen, but there was no leak, Ciavolella added.
