Baby death statements grim (THE LOGICAL CONCLUSION TO THE CULTURE OF ABORTION?)

CANANDAIGUA NY--In court papers made public this morning, a Farmington woman admitted that she killed two of her infant children.

DeBeer told police that she was pregnant a total of eight times, underwent three abortions, gave one child up for adoption and wanted only “the best life possible” for the 6-year-old and 8-year-old children who survived and were living at home with her and her husband Brian DeBeer, 32, at the time of the couple’s arrest.

”I never meant for my life to be so out of control,” Stacey DeBeer said at the end of her 20-page statement, made public today. “I just wanted the best life possible for (her two older children). I’m sorry it seems so trivial. I’m just so tired of everything, but I’m so glad that it’s all out in the open. I never meant to hurt Brian and the kids. I don’t want a lengthy drawn-out trial, I just want to plead guilty and end it.”

Also in the statement, Stacey DeBeer describes in grim detail giving birth to the two slain children, one in March of 1998 and the other on May 10 -- Mother’s Day -- last year.

DeBeer said that both of the children were breathing and making sounds before she wrapped their tiny bodies in cloth and plastic and left them to die.

Stacey was indicted earlier this month on four counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of the children whose bodies were found entombed in pails of concrete.

Her husband has been charged with a felony count of first-degree hindering prosecution for entombing the 1998-born infant in concrete and helping his wife conceal evidence of the crime.

Stacey DeBeer is being held without bail. Brian DeBeer is being held in lieu of $75,000 cash bail. Both are being held in Ontario County Jail.

This is like a perfect encapsulation of the "pro-choice" mentality: kids are disposible, a lifestyle choice, better dead than poor...etc.

No wonder this horrible case isn't getting more national news exposure.

As we all know, killing a child is a legally-protected right under SCOTUS approval.

This is not murder: it's Post-Partum Abortion. Perfectly legal.

So this is what "pro-choice" means...

I'd love to have these children, as would many others. How sad.

She put one up for adoption, had a doctor murder three more befere they were born and MURDERED the other two because she didn't want to go through all the trouble of adoption? Good Lord, how selfish we have become.

Unfortunately, this isn't the only such case from that neck of the woods. There have been several such cases of mothers murdering multiple babies, at least one of which predates Roe v. Wade. And it happened in my hometown:

Waneta Hoyt of Oswego, NY, murdered 5 of her 6 babies, between 1965 and 1971. She claimed that the children had died from SIDS syndrome, and was initially believed. However, in 1994 she confessed to the murders, recanted, but was convicted in 1995. She died in prison in 1998.

I seem to recall that there were one or two other cases, but I can't find or think of the details at the moment.

I saw a docuemntary a while ago on this... The DeBeer family found the diamonds on their South African farm but soon after sold the farm and the concession to a business man. The name stuck though.

Ok, no relation. Thanks.

Her lawyer will probably claim insanity or some such and leave hubby out to dry. Not that he doesn't deserve to fry because he had to have known but I'd hate to think she'll get a reduced sentence.

I can personally name 4 couples who would have joyfully adopted those little babies.

We're returning to the days when unwanted infants were "exposed"--left outside to die or be eaten by animals. The Christians put an end to that, but Christianity seems to have run its course in much of the West.

Hell...

I have five children of my own and would gladly adopt if it would save the child from this fate.

Is it just me or is this getting more and more common by the day? I doubt she will do any time however.

This reminds me, what ever happened to that "woman" who killed all her kids in Texas? I remember getting chewed out (by my mom no less) that it COULD NOT be her fault, and that her husband should of been fixed so they couldn't have any kids beforhand.
