March 24, 2004 -- DON Imus called CBS's Lesley Stahl a "gutless, lying weasel" yesterday for abruptly canceling an interview during which Imus planned to hammer her about conflict-of-interest allegations. "I realize it's a little late in your life, honey, to start gettin' honest, but just say 'I don't want to appear on the program . . . because I heard what he said earlier this morning,' " Imus railed.

Recent convert to Lauras radio program here.

I like her humor, (guess it goes without saying her politics) and her outlook on events.

Can't say anything about the Condi thing, since I didn't listen to Imus. My remark was based on 2nd hand knowledge.

VERY WELL SAID.

And I've felt mostly similarly for at least 35 years.

It is something to do with the fact that she did not have to be confirmed by the Senate,,Executive privilege and not wanting to set a precedent.Slate Gorton,I saw in an article said she was terrific when she testified 4 hours behind closed doors and wished she would testify publically.

Imus is on the phone with Andrea Mitchell trying to draw her into the CBS controversy. Now, Don is hammering Hewitt because this is the second time CBS has failed to disclose the relationship between a publisher and CBS when it involved a 60 Minutes program.

She HAS testified before this committee for four and one-half hours (private session, and UNDER OATH). A public appearance would be little more than a "dog and pony" show, and another chance to rail the kerry line (once again) against the administration.

You may not respect the separation of powers doctrine, but the President must preserve this right for future Presidents.

Stopped listening to Imus about six months ago. He has gone over the edge in his fawning over Kerry and his bashing of GW.

Made me wonder if George Soros has made a large contribution to the Imus Ranch.

I'd wager that Hewitt and Stahl have also contributed to the Ranch. Imus has said publicly that contributions don't protect anyone.

The liberal media is so entrenched in its' bias, and has been for so long, that they CANNOT see it. A major component of liberalism is arrogance, and with this arrogance comes a blindess to what they are....

To them, any outlet that reports FACTUALLY will be, in their minds, right wing. The major news media is far left, and anything, even if slightly, to the right of them seems to them to be FAR RIGHT.

Someone please tell Don Imus that he is not the center of the universe. I don't know if any of you have watched him early in the A.M. on MSNBC, but his ego is over the top.

If he dials the ego up any higher, he'll be right there with O'Reilly.

Actually Stahl couldn't appear on IMUS because she needed more time to replace her kneepads. They were wearing out!

Laura is a McCain supporter so she finds it extremely difficult to support the president.

She can be informative if you can get past her constant kvetching at the beginning of every show.
