I'm listening to C-Span right now as Secretary Powell's testimony is replayed. It is killer - literally from the beginning of the administration, W and Co. were taking immediate steps to counter the Taliban, Pakistan and, through proxy, Al Queda. What immediately stood out is the fact that the Taliban's office in NY was closed. Took two weeks to do what the Clintons and Co. should have done years ago. He read a letter written by W to Musharraf that stated that although we were troubled with the lack of a civilian government with elections but that we could work together AND that priority #1 was the issue of terrorism - that all other issues could never be considered without a strong effort against terrorism. I don't have time to list all the other great points but it is a must listen/read and soundly refudiates Fat Teddy, Dean, Kerry, Clinton, Albright, Cohen, Frank Rich, Al Franken , Barbara Streisand...etc. etc. etc.

I would like to clarify that the letter to Musharraf was written three weeks after the 2001 inauguration.
