I like this statement, but I am not sure about your explanation. I think that it would be more clear if you stated that they seek to shirk responsibility and weaken American power by ceding American sovereignty to the UN. The idea behind weakening America is that it will weaken the capitalist economic position and lead to world wide socialism, i.e.,the New World Order.

It is my view that ceding American sovereignty to the UN has both a psychological component (traceable to the 60s neoliberal's arrested development), as well as a socioeconomic one.
