The same people behind anti-war demonstrations that tied up San Francisco's downtown a year ago, led to 2,300 arrests and cost the city more than $2 million are planning to do it again.

Only this time, when activists fan out from Justin Herman Plaza during morning rush hour Friday, organizers with Direct Action to Stop the War expect their protest to be "a little more mellow."

The address to mail donations is in Berkeley. They have an email address at riseup.net which is a pivot point for a number of international protest orgs including the one below..

The sites are all crisp and colorful.

The logo at resist.ca is interesting.

They appear to be well-funded at first glance.

hmmmm?

The Resist! Collective is a group of Vancouver-based activists working to provide communications and technical services, information and education to the greater activist community. The Resist! Collective (Resist!) and resist.ca project grew out of the old Vancouver TAO collective.

These "affinity groups" are 8 to 12 protectors blocking "consumption zones" to disrupt traffic. The guys act and look like girls and the girls act and look like guys!

Yes, NormsRevenge. Here in the Bay Area -- the colleges and some highschools have been revving up for this event. Thursday was calm -- anti-bush/anti-"ahnold" posters and signup tables. But FRIDAY -- they were marching and practicing. So loud, so invasive, students in their classrooms couldn't listen to their teachers. Classes were abruptly halted to make way for these "first-amendment abuser-types". These people have been in everyone's faces since, oh, about 1870s. Same rude tactics.

A slingshot. Hmm. That explains a number of things to me now. First off, it is cowardly as well as harmful to people. Secondarily? During the SF "shutdown" -- soon after, there was another protest at the Oakland docks. Some protestors claimed to have been hit by pellets "or something". I'll bet you dollars to donuts, protestors were hit by "things" shot at them with slingshots -- by those wishing to "agitate" at any price, including harm to allied protestors. Just to make a point. These folks are anti-humanity.

I searched hard for more data about those who had been hit. Nada. The left would claim the "nada" was due to "silencing and oppression by the brutal opposition"; however, could it be that no one *really* could figure out How these people got hurt? (except those who used slingshots....)

Oh, just a notion. But quite a solid one, given that Molotov cocktails were found after the protests in SF.

During the SF protects the SFPD were equipped with a non-lethal "super-sock" bean bag, the gun holds 10 shots. It was not used for crowd control but for officer protection only. At SF, the protectors did also use sling-shots and anything else they could throw. I remember the oakland protests and the "cry-babies" that were screaming police brutality, I'm not sure if the bean bags were used their are not but if they were it would definitely leave its mark on ya :)

Just a thought. If they chain themselves together, they can't run. Pull a vehicle forward just enough to snug up the chains and shave reverse Mohawks on all dem greasy punk heads...
