What would Kerry's wrong doing be in all of this if the charges are true? Consorting with radicals? Or failing to turn them in? It appears that he did not agree with the murder plot.

Because he has proudly proclaimed not only his involvement in VVAW, he has (like Gore and the Inet) claimed to be instrumental in its creation.
He can't have it both ways, although he tries on almost every issue.
