I am leaving to join our troop campout in a couple of minutes. I am glad that you posted this, it will be printed out and given to our Scoutmaster. I am sure that this will be part of our campfire tonight.

One of our eagle scouts is a Marine currently serving in Iraq. A second eagle scout that has been an assistant scoutmaster is leaving for the Air Force next month.

We used to donate to the Red Cross, Salvation Army and United Fund. We no longer do so. The Salvation Army is a fine organization and heavily funded, the other two disturb me. Now we donate directly to the Boy Scouts (one of the finest organizations I can think of) and our local animal shelter.
