What a really stupid thing to say in a campaign. I mean, no matter if you agreed with him or not, it was a moronic risk to take. All it took was one day like yesterday in Madrid to make him look like a complete fool on this topic, and it's THE most important topic to Americans.

Liberals are by definition fools. The more I think about it, the more I think Rush's right in concluding Kerry lacks the brilliance of Howard Dean to be careful in not saying really stupid things. I've been amazed at what terrible campaigners the Dems have been this year. I mean horrific mistakes that anyone should have avoided. Makes you realized the Clinton/Gore team at least knew what they were doing.
