Way to go you guys :) Thank you!!
It'll be great to see that project... And I hope that SOB (excuse me) will get his behind kicked for killing her when he'll go to that jail ... It'll be only fair, don't you think? ... Just how long will he last in there when he'll join those great guys, anyway? (Any bets?)

BTW, I don't mean to imply that every prisoner should be let out to build butterfly gardens. Rather, I concluded this article indicates there are some crimes that just go beyond heinous, as everyone here knows.

Am a bit skeptical too. This sort of act plays really well with parole boards. On the other hand though, I hope that the sentiment is genuine and that a memorial of some sort is built.

I don't know. Maybe the other prisoners are hardened criminals but the guys they quoted are theives, not killers. We have become very hard because of the world around us, but I think the thoughts behind this are genuine. These guys, I'm sure, have sisters or nieces or daughters. They thought of their own and wanted to make a tribute to this poor girl.
A butterfly garden, how lovely.

I guess we now know where to recommend that the killer serve his time...

This is a nice story. It sounds like they are making efforts to lead better lives.

Perhaps part of Carlie's legacy will be in helping some of these convicts turn their lives around.
Maybe...thanks for your thoughtful post.
