"Survival Kit contents check. In them you will find: one 45 caliber automatic, two boxes of ammunition, four days concentrated emergency rations, one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills, one miniature combination Rooshan phrase book and Bible, one hundred dollars in rubles, one hundred dollars in gold, nine packs of chewing gum, one issue of prophylactics, three lipsticks, three pair of nylon stockings -- shoot, a fellah could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff...."

A little bit of trivia for you. Right before the Dr. Strangelove came out, JFK was assassinated. The original script had Slim Pickens saying, "shoot, a fellah could have a pretty good weekend in Dallas with all that stuff." It was then overdubbed, but you can read his lips saying "Dallas".

Very cool. I hadn't heard that one before.

I'll try to bring something to the table. Talk-radio/movie-reviewer
Michael Medved claims that it the "Dr. Strangelove" character was not a
caricature based on Dr. Edward Teller...but on Henry Kissinger because he'd
written some nuclear deterence papers a bit before the movie had been made.

Myself....I'm stickin' with Dr. Teller as the real-life Dr. Strangelove!

As for David Crosby...two-time inductee of The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame,
biological father of his own kids and some lesbian's kids, survivor of a liver transplant
and the 1960-1970s, and runnin' around with some weed, a .45 Colt and a blade...
like some old commercial said:
"Some People Just Know How To Live!"
