Granted I have not seen the movie yet. But I have read the Gospels repeatedly and can't find anywhere in them that someone drives a Buick into a lake.
Perhaps you can give me chapter and verse.

I think I must have missed the part where Jesus ran his car into the water. It was wedged in between the Abraham's Reduced Airfare ad, and the Noah's Flood Insurance promotions.

He drove a hybrid vehicle which ran on either solar power or wind, which is generated when the car is moving.

Mel cut that scene in
the US so as not to
offend Detroit folk . . .

The Son of God would never drive a Chevy Lumina.
Besides, she was actually re-enacting Titanic.

I think it was the bit where Moses came over the hill in a Triumph!

She missread it to be "The Splashin' of the Christ."

walking on water - driving on water; what's the difference? She must have forgotten that part about Jesus being God and she isn't.

I saw the movie, In the baptism scene, Jesus was washing their feet with water from a wooden bowl.
I think she was trying to re-inact a scene from a Bond flick.

No. The question really is "would Jesus drive an SUV?".

The Son of God would never drive a Chevy Lumina. Why not, it would take a miracle to make them reliable...
