BELIEVE IT.....THEY ARE COMING FOR THE CHILDREN (gay marriage, then widespread gay adoption)
dfu commentary | 2-27-04 | dfu

It has happened in San Francisco. It has now happened in a town in New York. It is threatened in Chicago. Gay marriage is here in all of its rainbow glory. We don't have time for a Constitutional amendment to stop it.

What is it that gays want? The right to visit in the hospital? They have it. The right to will property? They have it. The right for insurance benefits? They have it.

What they want is not tolerance. They have been given tolerance. What they really want is recognition that marriage between two people of the same sex is just as noble as marriage between a man and a woman (as it has been for thousands of years around the world).

Most of us believe in just letting people alone in the privacy of their bedrooms. That has nothing to do with abortion, however, because an abortion results in the death of an innocent. If you believe homosexuality is wrong, you also probably believe that a sinner will eventually meet his Maker. It will be up to God to judge.

But the activist gays have gone way over the top. They are attempting to destroy an institution that has proven to be the best way to raise children and provide for a continuity in society. Moms and dads raising kids is the best thing for children. Gays will never admit that it is better to have a mom and dad. They change the argument and make it a comparison of a divorced couple vs. a loving gay home, whatever that may be.

The next step is logical. Not only do gays want the right to adopt, which they have in several states, but they want equality. They want the adoption and welfare agencies to be gender blind. If a child is available, they want an equal right to adopt. A married man and woman should have no advantage.

They are getting close to that. What will stop them? If they are allowed to marry, not just have some civil arrangement for living, they will sue for adoptive equality. It will only take a few whacked out liberal judges to give it to them.

When it happens, Western Civilization has died. And its death won't even have to be arranged by the Islamist terrorists. It will have been accomplished by self-centered homosexual activists and a handful of judges.

Right on! "Gay" marriage is nothing more than a first *STEP* toward legalizing child *MOLESTATION*.

It must be stopped *NOW*.

I *REALLY* hope President Bush isn't toying with us in promising the Constitutional *AMENDMENT*.

There is no time for a Constitutional amendment. The law must be enforced now. Gov. Terminator should have sent the state police to arrest the SF mayor. Or, at the very least, he should have run him over with one of his 7 Hummers.

Only two states prohibit homosexuals from adopting.

Perhaps some of the bush country states need to sart passing similar bans.

The 11th has upheld them. I would start with states outside the 9th.

This whole issue if for children

The concept of legalizing homosexual marriage is to remove children FROM marriage. Homosexuals do not make babies, they recruit. Homosexuals can never fit seamlessly and natural parents they have to pretend.

My letter to the editor of our local paper which was published today. I'm not linking it directly because my name is mentioned at the end, but here's the article:

Despite Bill Clinton’s signature of the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996 which was designed to establish a legal definition of marriage as a union between a man and a woman, the issue of gay marriage has reared its ugly head.

I say ugly because the radical gay agenda is about recruitment of our children, lowering the legal age of sexual consent and removing the cultural taboos regarding pedophilia. Gay marriage will provide access to children that was previously not available to the radicals within the movement.

Among the many books available about the subject, one of the most informative is Tammy Bruce’s best selling book The Death of Right and Wrong. Bruce is a liberal lesbian and former president of the Los Angeles chapter of NOW as well as a national columnist and television commentator. She has worked with Congress to change the Department of Education’s support for the radical gay agenda and is an outspoken advocate against the radicals who are actively working with judicial activists who subvert the laws currently in place in our country and harm our children. Her book outlines the grab for our children and how the radicals are going about fulfilling their desires.

Bruce’s book is well researched and quotes directly from dozens of outspoken advocates of the gay agenda as well as policy setters within the Department of Education. One such quote is from Judith Levine, author and activist: “sex is not harmful to children…there are ways the smallest children can partake in it.”

Research on this topic is readily available and much of what the agenda proposes is unprintable in a family newspaper, but a review of some material provides the following:

1. In Vermont, a program was instituted called Outright Vermont. Vermont schools advertise this program on bulletin boards and the materials contain links to web sites which lead to adult gay male porn web sites. Last year, New York City opened the first gay high school in the nation; one has to wonder what the curriculum looks like.

2. Former Governor Gray Davis of California signed a sex education law that requires students to adopt a healthy attitude toward homosexuality. The National Education Association has been developing programs to incorporate the gay agenda into our public schools for children of all ages. Many programs have been in place for over 20 years and the curricula is getting more radical each year. In addition, the NEA is trying to force state governments to require both home-schoolers and private schools to teach pro-gay agendas or refuse to validate their diplomas. Not content with the 20 year old curricula Heather Has Two Mommies, now the NEA has successfully sponsored a curriculum which some schools have adopted that requires children to partake in “Gay Day’ which involves playacting.

3. In March 2002, Penn State University featured an advocate of pedophilia at a women’s health conference, despite congressional disapproval and parental concerns.

4. In 1998 the American Psychological Association claimed that pedophilia often “does not cause intense harm on a pervasive basis.” (Tell that to the young boys who were molested by priests).

5. The North American Man Boy Love Assoc. (NAMBLA,) is a regularly quoted member of the gay movement and pedophile themes abound in their literature. Their web site quotes “…instead of condemning pedophiles for their involvement with lesbian and gay youth, we should be supporting them.” The gay movement does not condemn these comments or ask that the Association refrain from attaching itself to their agenda.

6. The taboo against adult-child sex is eroding and the New York Times and other “cultural elite” press regularly praise literary works containing pedophilia relationships. One of hundreds of examples: Poet Allen Ginsberg was a homosexual, pedophile and member of NAMBLA. His poetry contained explicit references to pedophilia and yet when he died in 1997, journalists praised him as an icon whose poetry was without rival.

Researchers differ on the numbers, but approximately 25% of gay men report they were molested as children which they blame for setting them on the road to homosexuality. This is not to paint all gays as having predatory motives, but I believe that gay marriage will provide an access to children through adoption that is unprecedented and dangerous. And yet, we are told that praying in school is dangerous to our kids. Moral relativism is standing on its head.

So, if every pregnancy outside legal and traditional marriage ended in abortion, there would be no adoptions. Homos cannot have children other than through adoption. Unless they reproduce within their own cult (gays and lesbians copulating) and I think that may parallel Hitler's supreme race theory.

I say, let's adopt all available children before they are subjected to gay treachery.

I hear you doug but the truth is, much of what you are talking about is already happening below the radar. Where gays cannot adopt together, they frequently can as a single person. Already they are foster parents nearly everywhere. In fact, all of this has been used as an aid to their marriage argument: They already have kids and the kids need the security marriage can provide.

They are also heavily involved in outreach areas involving children in state custody. Check out who is employed at your local juvenile detention facility or your local mental health facility. The kids without parents -- or at least without involved parents -- are the first line of attack. The recent Big Brothers/Sisters controversy was calmed by assuring parents that they could choose whether to have a queer mentor or not. But what about kids in state care? They are the ones who get the homosexual mentors you can bet.

Also below the radar are funding issues. Gay groups are getting money from us through so-called tolerance education, "safe schools" and AIDS funding, etc.. We are funding these attacks.

It's been happening because the rest of us have not been paying attention.

We need the marriage amendment AND we need to start figuring out what they are doing while no one is watching.

If we don't have a Constitutional Amendment *BANNING* "gay" marriage within six months, I don't have much hope for the *FUTURE*.

President Bush, we need this Amendment *NOW*!

I'm with you. The homosexual assault on marriage and the family is the line-in-the-sand for me. The vermin are through the wire. Its time to stand or die. We must cut the Republican politicians no slack on this issue.

Let the Constitutional Amendment move forward if you want. But the politicians MUST roll back this assault on our society right now. The President can overturn Lawrence on Constitutional Grounds. This at a minimum puts an end to the homosexual advance and changes the issue to the separation of powers. I will take that.

We do not need to wallow like helpless fools before the left-wing judges and the crack pot mayors et. al. It is the job of Bush and the Republicans to move to the offense right now!

Good job Peach. And good for your local newspaper. I've sent in I can't even remember how many letters on the topic and can't get them printed. They print nearly anything else I send, but they refuse to print my comments on this topic. Another lady sends in letters all the time about pro-abortion stuff. A few months back, I submitted at least 5 or more variations on the theme while they printed many letters that were pro-gay agenda. I couldn't get anything through. I've given up. Hint taken.

The constitution cannot be amended that quickly.
The process can be in progress, but it will not be a done deal in a 6 month timeframe. Will have to wait for my wife, the history major, to get home from work to obtain timeline details of the things that have to happen for an amendment, but it ain't happenin' by November 2004!

The Chairwoman of our Republican party in town recommended that if we can't get our letters published in our local newspapers that we submit them to the Miami Herald, the Washington Times, and other more conservative newspapers.

I've done that with some success.

Don't give up! At least you are trying and that's more than a lot of us can say.

The Miami Herald is conservative? Hmmmm

Actually, the paper I am talking about is one of the better ones near me. But some subjects are off limits. They're just heavy handed gestapos in certain areas. They know it but they feel principled or something. Grrr.
