What do you make of the claims being made here? I can't sort it out between the hyperbole and what this legislation actually says/what it would actually do. Do you have a take on it?

I believe the whole mess including Fat Drunk Ted's ammo ban, the protection of "lawful" commerce in arms, Fineswines AW ban "renewal", etc., was shot down. Whether it's "really, most sincerely dead", I don't know. There has been some talk of reconvening congress to deal with the 911 commission report's recomendations. There may be a possibility that the ammo ban could be revived?

Needs repeating!

Nobody needs armor piercing rounds for hunting. On the other hand, the second amendment is not about the rights of hunters and target shooters.
