The Torah is both the written and oral Jewish law and scriptures.
The Talmud is the oral, and is included in the Torah.
The Pentateuch is the first 5 books.

The torah is the first five books of the Tanach, which stands for Torah (Genesis, Exodus, etc.), Nevi'im (Prophets) and K'tuvim (writings). Together, they comprise what Christians call the Old Testament.
The Talmud is not included in the Torah.

Pentateuch [Greek: 5 scrolls] = Torah [ Hebrew, "teaching"]
The above are the first 5 books in KJV, Gen thru Deut
Tanakh = "Old Testament" but in a different order
Talmud= A set of large volumes like an encyclopedia, with very intricate design, original text down the middle, commentary in smaller print along that, lesser commentary off in fine print to the edges of the page. Tells everything about everything, written c AD 200 to 900.

The Torah is both the written and oral Jewish law and scriptures. That's not how Herman Wouk explained it.
